Its appearance is that of a white bead. It is also called Sodium Hydroxide, NaOH, caustic soda pearls, caustic soda prills, or caustic soda pellets. Caustic soda beads usually dissolve twice or three times as fast as flakes. Used as a raw material in the manufacture of soap, detergent, textiles and paper, in water softening and treatment, refining petroleum products, in sanitation, and hygiene products, and in the food and drug industry.
